What size pendant light should I have for the lounge?

To find the ideal pendant size for your lounge, you must measure your room's length, width and height.

Add together your room's length and width. Once you have that number, divide it by 12 to find the ideal pendant width. For example, if your room measures 5 m x 4 m, you need to divide 9 m by 12 to get 0.75 m. Convert your measurement into centimetres, bringing your ideal pendant width to 75 cm.

The height of your room determines your ideal pendant light height. Measure your room's height and multiply it by three. Divide this number by 12 and convert your result into centimetres. For example, a room that is 2.5 m high means you should divide 7.5 m by 12 to get 0.625 m. This equates to an ideal pendant height of 62.5 cm.
