How do plug-in wall lights work?

Plug-in wall lights are attached to walls using screws and can take the form of various types of fixtures, including those that are adjustable. They are then plugged into a standard electrical outlet in the wall and use an in-line switch.

Do plug-in lights use a lot of electricity?

Plug-in lights don't tend to use a great deal of electricity, especially if they are fitted with LED bulbs. Whilst the wattage and type of bulb tend to govern this, most modern plug-in lights use very little power.

What is the difference between hard-wired and plug-in lights?

Whilst hard-wired lights are directly connected to a building's electrical system, plug-in lights, as the name suggests, simply plug into a standard outlet.
